I’ve always heard; ‘find your passion and you find your purpose’; what seems to have been left out of that saying, is that we can and should have many passions throughout this all too short and tumultuous journey we call life.
Too often we are restricted by what we have been told we ‘should’ think and feel and how we are told we should live our lives when there is no ONE way, no RIGHT way. The intrinsic beauty of this is that we each get to do it our own way and when that is done right, it is an unparalleled experience.
My love for cultural exploration and travelling the globe, food and scenic photography and both cooking and consuming authentic cuisine the world over, has led me here and hopefully this is only the beginning of my journey. I’m truly honoured and very excited to be able to share a few of my passions with you and hope that along the way we can collectively live our lives fuller, richer and with more stories and experiences to share.
From a very early age I have been told that my strong willed and dominant personality was a difficult trait for employers and any authority figure to undertake and there comes a point where one should no longer accept other people’s beliefs that some of our best traits are negatives. I recently left my position in Culinary with the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman after almost 6 years there to start out on my own.
My love for cooking and feeding people has given me such joy and it’s extremely exciting to be able to share that with people in a different way now and through a more personal platform with my Farm-To-Table dinners and private events; if you are on island and have yet to attend, I hope you can join me soon.
If you’re looking for a private chef whether for an intimate event (either in Cayman or internationally), or a long standing arrangement with daily or weekly meals, please feel free to contact me.
I’ve been blessed and fortunate to have had many opportunities to travel around the world, eating my way from coast to coast and I hope to be able to continue that for the rest of my life. Immersing myself into new cultures through food, photography and art is exceptionally fulfilling and each new destination feeds a part of my soul in ways no classroom education ever could.
Presently I am a single, stay-at-home Mom to my two kick-ass children; Kaiden and Nahja as well as my pack of dogs who on their own are a full time job – I’m also looking forward to one day having a clean, paint, fur, dirt and finger print free home and yard again.
